IDEA Consulting has conducted research for UN agencies on the infrastructure and use of mobile and digital payments. Additionally, research has been done on the difficulties faced by female small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) and practical suggestions on how access to financing may be improved. In Afghanistan, the startup business sector is still in its infancy. In 2019, a landscape survey of the stakeholders who support or collaborate on the industry's growth was completed. IDEA Consulting has provided training on issues such as financial literacy, business literacy, and financial literacy to women in shelters as well as the personnel of microfinance organizations.
